CLIENT: TAPI ART PROMOTION INITIATIVE (TAPI) AND HOTEL FAIRFIELD MARRIOTT

Illustrations in this series developed for Hazira Industrial Zone project funded by Tapi Art Promotion Initiative [TAPI] and Hotel Fairfield Marriott represent the quintessential industrial environment of Hazira—crude yet robust, pragmatic yet aberrant, mechanized yet divergent. Daily activities in Hazira that are an outcome of industrial activities such as exhaust gas flares, pouring molten iron, and such—combined with historical maps of Hazira—form the dominant theme for this series. For this, I use industrial materials such as cement, oxide pigments, epoxy, and iron for painting purposes.
